The facilities we use during the course of the camp day are well suited to a full program of games, crafts, dramatics, sports and other enriching camp activities. Our experienced staffers work to develop skills, confidence and a sense of fair play within each child.
Staff
Child development is the most significant ingredient in a healthy camp experience. This is why our staff is the real secret to our success. Our experienced counselors, hand-picked from all over the globe, are known for their personal warmth and their ability to care for each child as individuals.
Each counselor is a role model for our children, promising lasting friendships and guidance long after the summer ends. Their devotion to the children is truly reciprocated by the children's love for them.
Jewish Pride
Camp Gan Izzy campers are imbued with a deep sense of pride in our Jewish heritage and a love for the land of Israel. Weekly Judaic themes are taught through exciting and engaging activities. The unique Gan Israel experience includes stories, games and contests, along with Challah baking, Shabbat parties, and arts and crafts. By combining educational programs with deep discussions, we bring the beauty and value of our rich tradition to life.
Trips On The Go
Twice a week, we take our campers on fun-filled field trips to different places throughout the Bay area. Some of these trips may include Great America, Sky High, Rockin Jump, laser tag, Pump It Up, boating, ice skating, and bowling. We work hard to keep our campers constantly engaged in a fun, safe and Jewish environment.
Activities & Special Events.
Our campus includes playgrounds, fields, and lots of opportunities for fun and games, and we keep our campers busy with dozens of themed activities that will keep them engaged.
A typical day in CGI might include sports, scavenger hunts, swimming and water activities, water slides, archery, art, baking, gymnastics, dance, and shows. We have a well equipped game room as well!
Safety and Security
The safety and security of our campers is our top priority. We ensure that each trip and activity is conducted in a safe manner. All water sports and swimming activities are supervised by adults or licensed lifeguards. Our staff members are certified in first aid and our campus is enclosed within fences.
Affordability
We are eager to ensure that each child is able to enjoy a summer in a wholesome, fun, warm, and Jewish environment. We offer scholarships and tuition assistance for those that need it.
